Time for a cold one. Got any big plans for the weekend?

Not much here. Spring break next week. We’re supposed to be taking my HS junior up to Denton to tour the campus. He’s looking at a major in Aviation Logistics, which I just learned is a thing.

I’m in Utah testing my immune system. Plan on staying in this weekend and then it’s Indy on Monday, local job Tuesday, and Alabama on Thursday.

Those guys are all way too close. They’re pretty much done for.

For me, it’s the start of my daughter’s spring break. She had prepared a Power Point presentation of activities for each day next week, and I was expected to take off work for some of them. I was looking forward to visiting the aviation museum near Love Field. Every thing is up in the air now. We’ll improvise.

we got our orders to work remotely from home until further notice. Complete with a “take anything you need to do your job with you because you will not be permitted back in the office after Saturday morning ” in bold text.

We were going to brave Costco, but wiser heads have prevailed. So working on the LEGO Saturn V is on the docket since it’s supposed to get cold and snow tonight and tomorrow which will keep me out of the garage.

Yeah, we’re not going to Denton next week. And this afternoon, out of the blue, something went “pop” in my right ear and now it hurts like hell. I didn’t want to go anywhere NEAR a medical facility, but now I’m going to see a doctor tomorrow morning.

I’m going to be instructing at Eagles Canyon Raceway Saturday and Sunday with Chin (first time with them). This is supposed to be the last weekend of Spring Break; however, they cancelled school for the next 2 weeks thanks to the plague.

We had to cancel the solo school scheduled for Saturday the 21st since I rented the stadium for it and the district is closed. But, that means that I can instruct at ECR for their Open Track Day (that was going to be the only one I was going to miss, but it’s on again).

The Porsche Club has an event at ECR in 2 weeks and they are going to change the in-car instruction to lead/follow. Should make for an easier day of instructing for me, it’s not the best for the Green (novice students) but should be good for the Blue (intermediate) students.

If ECR is about 20 miles west of Denton, they’re pretty accommodating and welcoming to guests. If you’re done early and/or have nothing better to do, stopping by the track is like a car show but better plus you can watch some cool cars from the balcony (or maybe it’s more of a veranda) at the club house. I’m not sure on the passenger rules with these guys, so I can’t guarantee a ride but there is a chance.

Yeah, me too. It might just be a big chunk of wax that fell down and is pressing on the eardrum. I can sort of feel something moving around in there. I often have to get the wax hosed out of my ears. But this does feel a bit new. It’s giving me a headache, and I was looking forward to a good night’s sleep and a good sleep in tomorrow.

Our original plans for Saturday have been adjusted. We’re having some company over to dinner tonight, so I’m about to start making pita bread and donair sauce.

Tomorrow, I’m hoping to get in some woodworking.  That dining room chair isn’t going to build itself.

I’m coming to the end of a 52 hour week. Might not sound like a lot to some, but I’m exhausted.

Might go pick up a new Bass Guitar and Amp tonight though, so I’m excited about that.

I’ve got some big cleaning projects I’ve been putting off for years, like my wife’s closet and the big overloaded bookshelves  in our room. This is a great time to tackle them. Also need to get after the Spring growth in the backyard.

If the weather clears up, might drive the old car tomorrow. Might venture up to BC for a hockey gear buying trip with a friend, that is, if they let us cross the border. Who knows what might be closed next.

Otherwise, sheltering in place at home consuming junky food and TV.

Yeah, I think all of the parents stuck home with kids are pushing travel over to us. It got crazy all of a sudden. Meanwhile I’m only paying like $75 for round trip flights and we’re charging quick turn fees...going to hoard the cash while it’s available.
